I take German at my high school. Our teacher likes to assess our ability to memorize and speak German, and I've got one of those quizzes today.
I have a hard enough time memorizing things in English, let alone a foreign language. I haven't gotten above an 80 on any of the spoken quizzes.
That said, not everything German is bad...
Also, the five inches of snow predicted for tomorrow is not welcome. I have a date tomorrow. I guess she'll get to see my hooning ability on the first date. AWSM.

If your date doesn't like parking lot donuts, she can walk home. That's pretty much the most important thing.

I wish I had a chance to put some snow tires on the car... Still running on all-seasons. I think. They may be summer, in which case I am screwed.

I had a German speaking test yesterday. Got a 90 and the professor was disappointed. I tried to act like I wasn't happy with it. Inside I was having a party.

My big problem is grammar and thinking quickly enough to speak . Whenever I'm called on I just freeze because I can come up with a reply it will just take a few minutes.

I H8 the R8.
Well maybe not hate but I definitely don't like it. If I had $100k I'd go buy myself 4 EcoBoost Mustangs, a GT-R, or an M6 Gran Coupe.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

I took a few years of German in HS. I haven't really had an opportunity to use it except at a job at LAX where everyone seemed to speak Spanish. People would call the office and prattle on in a language I didn't understand, so I'd reply "Ich verstehen dich nicht. Sprechen sie Deutsch, bitte", which, if I remember correctly, means " I don't understand you. Please speak German". They'd tell me that they didn't understand what I just said, and I'd tell them that I didn't understand what they said, and that perhaps we should choose a common language instead.
