Just how 'rather accessible' is it?

A thousand bucks, not much in the vintage Omega spectrum.

Nah, patina gives it character

Not a fan of patina on my 'spensive watches, or a least on the dial.

My dad had a stainless Seamaster...would love to have one like it. Instead I wear an automatic stainless Mondaine...probably 40 years old but keeps great time. I've got a drawer full of quartz watches with fucking dead batteries...won't buy another quartz.

But in a thousand dollar 1960's watch patina is kinda expected. No sign of patina means a new dial, and new dial means not original condition.
