the circuit board is what kills it for me. If I can't see, hear, smell, taste or touch what is wrong with a car, I dont like it. Harder and harder to get away from it but why go back? Timing too. Figure out what gas you run and time the thing. If you get shitty gas adjust on the fly.

The Megasquirt is at least possible for me, as someone with somewhat of a background in circuits and microcontrollers, to simplify and eliminate problems with. It's far, far simpler than a normal computer, and you can hard set a lot of things. No TPMS bullshit, no EGR system crap, no catalytic converter wank, and I won't be setting it up with ignition control - I'm leaving that to a real dizzy. Air temp, throttle, engine speed, and vacuum in - > fuel out.

Yeppers. Those exact throttle bodies (Honda CBR 600), and pretty much exactly those manifolds (somebody has put them on a Rover before - I didn't know this when I made my plans), with a megasquirt to manage. I haven't made the manifolds or other toys yet, but it *can be done*.
I actually cut the firewall to clear the Rover 2-3" further back on Saturday - it'll still have plenty of room for them. ( I will probably post pics as I progress this week. ) There will be 8 stacks, because why the fuck not.
