I think I have phantom clutch syndrome. My left foot feels like there is a pedal under it 24/7, and my left leg keeps on wanting to extend.

start riding motorcycles, you'll start doing phantom clutch even in an automatic car.

I always push my foot into the dead pedal of my parents cars, it feels so odd.

Similar to slamming my left foot to the ground when starting an automatic car.

everytime the motor got to 4K RPM, id pull in the "clutch" to change and lose 10km/h
or never using the brake brake for slowing down...id always be pressing on the floor and wondering why the hell it wasnt going anything and the front brakes were getting cooked from slowing down 600LBS of BMW maxi-scooter and SVwrangler.

Y'know what, I'm tempted to learn on how to ride a motorcycle, bikes are too damn easy. I'll keep this stuff in mind.

"Phantom clutch syndrome" is excellent. I'm going to use that description more often. People give me weird looks when I tell them "I have a hard time driving cars with automatic transmissions." Phantom clutch syndrome is my ailment.

I've only been driving manual for two weeks and I already had this problem today. Got in my old automatic car to move it and I was slightly confused what to do. It felt too easy to just go!
