This is only my second time attending Portland Cars and Coffee and I was lucky enough to catch a BMW i8 in the flesh. It would be the biggest understatement to say that the i8 stole the show from the moment it arrived to its departure. Here's a couple photos that I took with my apple, excuse the quality.
This car looks good from pretty much any angle.
I played a little game called "find all the birds-eye-view cameras". They hid the cameras quite well!

This car looks angry. I like that. Also that's Audi For Life (red camera strap) talking with twinturbobmw (blue towel) in the background; I finally got to say hi in real life.
One more of the interior. This car is a tasteful piece of elegant art no matter where you're looking. The blue seatbelt and material choices slightly reminds me of the Volvo concept estate car, something that we can all agree looks FANTASTIC.
Not the most flattering portrait but this is the owner. He just bought this car and hadn't even put on a clearcoat before he brought this here, he was so excited to share his car.

Enough about the i8. This M12GTO R3 looks fantastic.
And so does its sibling, the M400.
10/10, would hoon. Such want.

Speaking of Volvo's, I think the new S60 R-design looks pretty great. Parked behind it is...
My Volvo! I recently acquired her and she's my first standard transmission car. It feels pretty pedestrian calling my spaceball "standard" as the shifter looks anything but standard. I'm learning a lot about maintenance quickly with this car... Suspension, PCV, turbo piping leak, sunroof, tons of little surprises keep popping up. Love her.
