I really hope this isn't stepping on any toes, but it's slightly on-topic in that I need the money to buy a tuning license for my car.
AMD Neo Athlon II K325 dual-core 1.3GHz, 1MB of L2 cache
5GB of DDR3
320gb 7200RPM hard drive
1366 x 768 LCD (one of the better HP panels I've seen)
Radeon HD4200 Mobility graphics
Two standard batteries and an extended battery
Ports: 3x USB2.0, combo mic/headphone jack, VGA, gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, power jack, media card slot. All ports are on the sides of the laptop.
Runs great, standard wear for an HP (scuffs and scratches in a few places). Left speaker doesn't work, but if you listen to music through laptop speakers you probably hate your ears anyways. No dead pixels on the screen, which is sharper than the low resolution implies. Performance seems on par with a $550 Lenovo Yoga 2. Runs surprisingly cool for having discreet graphics. I've been running Windows 8.1 on it but I'll install Windows 7 from the license on the bottom, if possible it will be a fresh installation and not a bloatware-loaded OEM restore CD.
ASUS EEE PC 900. 900mhz Celeron, 1GB RAM. The miniPCIE SSD died, so I stuck a 32gb Samsung Class10 SD card in the SD card slot and installed CrunchBang Linux on it, which has been doing a pretty superb job. Battery life is pretty damn good, screen is fantastic. Has a single stuck pixel. Would make a decent Linux-based carputer or jukebox. Not really up to HD video playing.
Asking $100+shipping for the HP (paid $130 for it a couple months ago) and make me whatever offer on the EEEPC. Help fund my obsession with tuning grandma cars.
BmanUltima's car still hasn't been fixed yet, he'll get on it tomorrow, honest.

5GB of RAM? Why the weird number?

Goddamnit, Jake.
Where were you with this a week ago when I bought my Asus K55A laptop off eBay? I dropped $290 on that.
I am tempted by the Asus 900HD. I mean, I already have one of those (along with an Asus 1005HAB) so I don't *need* it. But I want it.

It's actually not the HD model; it uses a miniPCI-E SSD (same as new macbooks and such) instead of a traditional ZIF/SATA/IDE hard drive. It runs Crunchbang admirably, though websites are so heavy nowadays its usefulness is limited. I use it mostly for SSHing into my servers, screwing around on IRC and 4chan, and messing around with config files to see how quickly I can break Linux.

That Asus K55a you bought is almost definitely better than the HP though.

Yeah, my 900HD is bone-stock slow. The roommate was using it as a second-screen computer when all he had was his Lappy486(tm). The 1005HAB has 2 gigs of RAM and a 30GB SSD and it can't even deal with Chrome anymore.

Maybe. But I didn't necessarily need better, just cheaper.
