I went to do some grocery shopping with the wife yesterday looking for a Mastretta MXT that I couldn't smugle last time.
Unfortunately they were all sold, but in retaliation I snagged these three fellas.
So, what you guys think of them?

The LaFerrai looks great! I saw a Porsche 918 in a 5-pack but I already had two of the cars so I passed on it.
I have a later-model Esprit, but I'd love an S1.
I have the Turbo RSR 911 in orange!

I've seen the Esprit S1s sold for $10 or more at my local Comicon. Good catch!

The Best thing was to see a little kid, no older than 6 browsing the hotwheels bin and taking one too and talking to himself "This is a nice 911 *flips the blister* oh, it's an RSR, I like this one dad"
Mind you the dad had a puzzled look on his face like if the kid was speaking chinese to him lol

I think it's safe to say that even mildly-collectible hot wheels cars increase in value as soon as you walk out of the store... I've paid (USD) $0.80-$1.07 for each car in my collection, and I'm already seeing 2013 cars selling for $5-$15 online. It's an interesting hobby, to say the least...

Heh. Heh, heh. If my local Target didn't suck as much, this would be a real possibility for a business.

Lawlz I think you could simply buy cases of hot wheels wholesale, list them individually online, and easily charge 2-3 bucks each. Simply because you've taken the time to sort them out. Obviously you can charge $10+ for the special stuff. What's hilarious is I've seen a couple dozen of those Esprit's in my area. I had no idea they were that valuable...
