Ill take some with the decent camera after I get a chance to snow blow. This was at 630am. It isn't supposed to stop until tomorrow afternoon, but only for a short while, because another storm is coming through tomorrow evening and going until Friday!

I'm thinking "no way that is happening right now." Then I check Weather.com. I've never heard of "thunder snow" in the forecast.

My fiance spun out on 90 last night - I drove from ROC to go make sure she was okay and wait until a tow truck came over 2.5 hours later. There was no way I was going to attempt to pull her back up the embankment across two active traffic lanes.
Stay safe out there and turn up the seat heaters!

Yeah I'm in Elma. It's insane how bad it is. I can't think of the last time (if ever) that I've seen this much snow in 12 hours.

Major snow storms (at least here) are often accompanied by thunder snow. That's how you know it'll be a big storm, regardless of what the weather man may have predicted.

Fortunately/Unfortunately, I work from home a lot, so there is no snow day for me. Just a work day interrupted by bouts of battling with the snow to clear the driveway. At least the snow blower has hand warmers built-in.

I'm so glad I live in the North towns. Lockport wasn't hit at all, and Amherst is in equally fine shape.
Made my commute all the easier.

I lived in Kalamazoo, MI for 6 years where we had lake effect snow every winter and even then I've never heard of Thunder Snow. That is some pissed off snow coming down I bet.

Man, I was actually going to try to drive to Amherst today from Erie to buy a car. It's not happening now.
