To me the new Mustang looks like they wee aiming for the FRS college grad who might otherwise be shopping for a GTR.

No. The Mustang will about what you can walk into a dealer and get a V8 for. Sure you might want a higher end model but this is the bread and butter.

Nope, it looks like a Mustang, which, as you know, has been around much longer than the FRS or GTR names.

Big nope. It's a coupe so it will share similarities with other coupes. Has many design features that have been there thought the mustang line up over the years.

Nope.

Ford's done a very good job this gen of evolving it to make sure it looks like a thoroughly modern car, while still retaining some specific design cues to connect to its past.

I can only hope that Chevy and Dodge are as successful at updating the Camaro and Challenger respectively.

Nope. The predecessors of those fine Japanese models were aping American muscle styling long, long ago. If anything, the Mustang has found its way again.

Sure I was. My sister had one in highschool, and 3 years ago I saw one showroom quality in a mall parking lot.

Then you know the Mustang already lost its way and has found it again.

No. I the part of the "way" that was lost needed to be lost and the part of the "way" that was retained was meant to be retained.

Like the Corvette, the Mustang desperately an image makeover to elevate it from the historic buyers and make it a legitimate consideration for more sports car buyers; especially those who like to go fast when the road isn't just straight and a 1/4 mile long.

Quite the opposite; I think Ford has comprehensively knocked it out of the park.
