it just amuses me to see people who have never seen snow, see snow. I have an exchange student in my dorm, and he honestly thought snow was bullshit.

I caught him yesterday standing outside in shorts and a t-shirt watching snow fall. FREAKING HILARIOUS. though I had to pull him in and make him take a warm shower before he got hypothermia. I need to take him jacket shopping soon....

I don't mess around with cold weather. It starts dipping below 50 and I'm sad.

No offense taken. I get some smug sense of satisfaction thinking to myself "I can handle the cold and snow, I've lived through many Ohio winters". Sense of smug satisfaction is multiplied when speaking to my newest coworker who just recently moved here from Jamaica.

I miss the snow. It hurts me to imagine my car sitting around thousands of miles away, going tragically unhooned in all of this glorious snowfall.

I've spent 8 Quebec winters... now I'm out of Canada and living in Japan. At worst it goes down to -1 degrees here in winter... and it only last 3 months... and I still live 2 hours drive from Nagano, which is not even comparable with the ski resorts from Quebec... So really: fuck winter, fuck snow. I'm through with it and sooooo happy not to have to deal with it every single day along with insanely low temperatures... and the cool thing: I can still take my snowboard and play around for a day anytime I want :)
