I just got the weirdest, least important, non-intrusive Kinja glitch ever. Apparently, I am "Denver, 505" and I commented on a post by " Turbeaux"... Weird

It is indeed wacky, this is the first time I have noticed. means (translated directly using no grammar correction) Oppo The Jew. It essentially means The Jewish Oppo, but I had to spell Oppo phonetically. There is no word for Oppo in hebrew, there is probably a phrase knowing hebrew grammar though. I guarantee it would not be less than 30 characters.

awesome. I would be the atheist oppo, but people of all religions are cool with 505, just my personal thang. Very cool. Though this glitch is bizarre to be sure

Its Jewish Oppo. I spelled it phonetically. Gtranslate isnt gonna give you anything, you have to be able to read hebrew to get it

in this case gives an "Oh" sound
and in this case gives a "P" sound.
can sometimes sound like "OO" or "V" and can sometimes sound like "F". It all depends on context and spelling

Crazy Hebrew, is it a big part of Jewish culture learning Hebrew? I only ask as Jews are not as common in the UK and have only met a few in my life.

Ya, all the texts are in hebrew. You gotta be able to at least read it, not necessarily understand it. My hebrew comprehension could be better. Ive been forcing myself to use it more so that I can reteach myself.

fair enough, I was about to query whether there were english Torah's but then remembered a school trip way back in my youth to a synagogue where it was a centuries old scroll. I wish second languages were forced upon the UK schools more, sure I know a little french and a little spanish but not enough to survive a conversation.

I know enough hebrew off the top of my head to have a 5 minute conversation and then ask to switch to english. Its nice though, because I go to school downtown I encounter alot of beggars. Me being a broke college student, I dont have cash to spare. So I just say " " which means "sorry, I dont speak english" Knowing a second uncommon language definitely has its perks.

Yo no hablo español, señor. sounds like you need British beggars, they just sit there and hope you'll give them cash unlike american ones. Me and my girlfriend went to Orlando a couple of weeks ago for a vacation and some guy asked us for some cash whilst we walked back to the hotel and my GF shot him down with a no before he could get two words out.
He looked heartbroken that young British couple wouldn't even listen to him.

The glitch happened again here, and I don't know if it was on purpose or not.

I had one guy joke that he took credit or debit, some of them have a sense of humor. Also in the states (especially in colorado, california, texas, new mexico, arizona, nevada and florida) spanish is a common language, the chances of me finding a beggar that spoke spanish is quite high.
