Off topic here, but I'll ask you anyway. What's your opinion about the Lancia Delta Integrale, and do you live in the Eindhoven/Helmond region? I'm asking because a certain Jalopnik editor has asked me to find him a specific car. This was a very nice manual E30T with a factory m20b25, but because supply is absurdly limited we're expanding the search to the Delta Integrale, and I happened to find an Integrale in Nuenen. If I recall correctly you both live somewhere in that area and you're mechanically inclined.
My question is two fold. One, do you know a shop in that area that you'd trust to do an independent and thorough pre-purchase inspection of such a car? Two, since I'm not in the area would you be willing to help me out a little more? For example by looking at the car in person, assuming you live(/work) close by. I'm not asking you to make a financial commitment, I can drive to the south and handle things but I prefer not to lose a whole day for a car that turns out to be not worth it.
The seller of this car sent me the following email:
Auto is al in bezit vanaf 2005 .laatste onderhoud is geweest met de laatste keuring .we hebben toen ook de kop paking ,distributie riem vervangen en de balans as riemen vervangen . In 2007 is de delta uit elkaar geweest en compleet gedaan aan de buiten kant vandaar dat hij nu wit is. Roest zit er niet meer op .van onder is de delta hard . Als je interesse heb moet je gewoon een keer lans komen

Drop me a line on joep at verbeeten.com. That's quite a non-original Integrale (I know pretty much about it all interesting cars from the 80s). Depends on what the buyer is looking for, if it's something original this is not it. Nuenen is a 50 minutes drive, but again: mail to me.

I'm a bit short on time right now, I'll send you an email later. These Integrales are a bit out of my comfort zone, what's so unoriginal about this one? The paint for one (RDW notes a different color) and maybe the wheels, anything I'm missing?

An '88 should have at least other headlights, like this completely original '89 one:
The seller clearly wanted to have the later 'EVO'-look. Not a bad thing per se but as I said: don't know what your buyer is looking for.
I know some shops in that neighborhoud but drop me a mail and we discuss things further over there.
