It's got two stars on Yelp!

Everyone has awesome NY accents!

They're lying to customers, lying to each other, staying late, working on the weekends, even selling at a loss just to make a sale!

All to try to meet a quota of 129 cars sold in a month!

There's Jeeps ! There's Dodges and Rams ! There's even Chryslers ! And if you walk across the street, there's a whole bunch of your shitty trade-ins !

Ladies and gentleman, I give you Town and Country Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram in Levittown, NY!!

Actually though, you should listen to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! of This American Life.

They follow this nicely mediocre dealership through a slow month where they're struggling to break even. Reporters get to shadow all the salesmen and capture what they're saying when they aren't with a customer, and why. Also, how they feel about it all. If you're into that human interest bull feces.

It's given me a whole new perspective. Not to say I'll be buying a car from anywhere but Craigslist anytime soon, haha.

And now, because it's somewhat relevant, I present a couple of unexpected Hellcats.

I also enjoyed this episode. My old roommate was a sales junky at a ford dealer in ny and I hung around there a fair amount back in the day. Brought back good memories. The sales guys always screwing with each other so baddly I would typically leave nearly pissing my pants from laughter.

Only way I'll give a dealership a good review is if they don't keep me there for hours, keep the price very close to what other dealerships are offering me, and don't try to get me into a vehicle that is "very similar" to what I said I wanted.
