Better finish than any F1 race this season.
Anyway, the way he jumped from 6th to first on that restart, amazing drive.

He certainly deserved it, especially with all those races where he led the most laps but had the win snatched away from him by bad luck.
Of all the drivers in this sport, I don't think there's any driver that deserved this championship more than him.

Someone tell me why in the world Gordon pitted when he did. He completely threw away the race with no clear reason they he had to pit.
After the race they interviewed a ton of people, but stayed away from him. I think he was told to get out of the way so the contenders could race for the win.

The 4 team was the best team from start to finish this year. I love that it came down to winning the race between Newman and Harvick.

Me too. It's the kinda down-to-the-wire action they were hoping for with the new Chase format, and I love it!
Glad to hear they're not planning many changes next year, if any at all.

Gordon wanted to pit. He knew his tires were too worn to win the race, so he made the call to pit. The conversation was on his radio channel.

As a Penske I was rooting for Joey and my heart broke when the 22 fell off the jack. I was so disappointed I turned on the Lions game just in time watch Stafford throw an interception, double whammy.

According to the Jayski site, Kevin got about 350,000 for winning the race, and a season total of about 7 million. There is a championship points fund too but I don't know if that's in the season total or not.
