It's OK though. I like them as well.
The driver of this car had NEVER been drag racing before the day I took this pic of him and a mutual friend setting him up for staging. Cracked off a high 8 second pass by the end of the day.

that orangy flake paint is scrumptious. Also I've been meaning to track you down and ask about supercharging a s197. I'm going to get a supercharger next season, I've saved up enough cash and am dead set. Could you tell me about the experience? I'm thinking a roots-type edelbrock stage 1; I like the $6200 price, it's intercooled, and it'll put me at a safe 450 hp. What do you think?

Doooo eeet. I thought I was going to FINALLY put in the new torque converter I've been wanting (should knck 3/10s off my 1/4 mile), but alas I lost both the washer AND dryer within 24 hours of one another. Yay! Chalk it up to my house knowing when extra cash comes from my working overtime. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Seriously though, the blower upped the fun factor. Enjoy!

Shorty headers, stock h-pipe and cats, Kooks polished stainless exhaust and mufflers the rest of the way back. Steeda double-adjustable upper control arm with billet lowers. 3.73 gears and Detroit Locker. CHE lower control arm relocation brackets. Fays2 Watts Link. The Watts link helped BIG TIME on the big end of the dragstrip. Next is a 3800-4000 RPM stall converter from Pro Torque.
