She is done for this year. This is a bit overdue, considering I got caught in a blizzard yesterday, and got caught in more snow on the 120 mile journey up north. Here's a few pics from the rest area I stopped at. This whole thing was solid fucking ice. Really fun times. The best thing was all the looks I got from people while driving it in this cold. Priceless.

She's in a safe, heated garage at my car-crazy grandfather's house now, resting peacefully. Rest easy, Christine. Until next year :)

Why would you get looks because you are driving a stock Corvette in the cold? I drive mine all the time, but I get looks only for the custom paint job on my car. By the way, I read an article in either Car and Driver or Road and Track, not sure which, about a road trip to Barrow, Alaska in a Corvette. It made the trip no problem.

Because 20 degrees and snow. You never really see a Corvette travelling in that weather. I didn't want to, but I had to. That's why.

Never heard of that story. I'm sure it made it just fine. I'm not saying I'm surprised mine made it. Just wanted to write about my trip.

Yes, it is mine. It was painted by a fellow who normally paints speedboats in Wyandotte, Michigan. This is the first car he ever painted and it turned out beautiful. I can't go anywhere without getting compliments on the paint job.

The high here was 20 yesterday. 20.

No real snow or ice, but flurries in spots.

Yet on the way home I was behind an orange C6, and later on the freeway passed a 70's Cutlass in very nice condition. Very odd.

Wow. Even the high here was around 33 or so. Dropped down below 20 at night, though. And we already got snow and ice :(

Huh. Probably also going into storage, would be my guess. Or they could just be hardcore and drive their cars year-round.
