A few weeks ago I got to head into their shop and pick their minds about the business of speed. I could have stayed for hours and hours. Hopefully I'll soon be back, but just read this first.

That GT-R occasionally comes to the monthly Supercar Saturdays.
The most amazing thing about it is that other than its beefy tyres, you can't really tell that it'll tear a hole through time. The engine bay doesn't even look flashy...Last year, it didn't even have stickers on it, so the darn thing literally looked like every other GT-R out there...

"2000" HP.
...c'mon we really know it's like 2500. Shit can't even dyno anymore.
I have serious respect for AMS though, and I would definitely have one of their GT-Rs if I had the money. I'm not sure I could own a GT-R and not give it to them for at least a minor package.

Back when they cracked into the 8s for the first time, I was there. It was a random Tuesday, and there were maybe 40 people at the dragstrip.

The car probably does make more horsepower but the issue with all that horsepower is finding a dyno that can take on all that power without the car spinning its wheels. So they might as well stick to the best reading they can get.

Yep, completely agreed. I remember the nervous search they had after passing the 1600 mark to find a new dyno. It wouldn't surprise me if now they're not even using wheeled/crank dynos, they're using virtual ones based on mass air flow data.
