It's probably hard to find decent 4-lug replacement rims that fit is my guess. I know that 240Z owners will swap to 5-lug wheels so they can use 280ZX and 300ZX rims because it's a pain to find 4-lug 14" narrow wheels that don't require fender flares.

Interesting. I know a lot of e30 guys to 5-lug swaps for the same reason, and I've wished I could fit 5-lug wheels from time to time but I generally haven't had a problem finding good 4-lug wheels. Though it looks like I have more room to play with from that picture. I used to have bottle-caps and they looked a little more sunken in than they look on the Fiero.
