I'll say it now. I'm probably going to put my car in a ditch. I put off snow tires to save money for my next car, literally every car I see has snow tires here. My 2 year old Continental DWS feel terrible when it's barely damp, I can't imagine a little snow. Not to mention my car's winter abilities are non existent. At least I paid my AAA.

Is your car RWD or something? I live in Minnesota and have made do with allseasons for years now.

Yes it is. I've been fine with all seasons all my life but I've moved a little farther north.

Eh, you drive through one snow season, you've seen everything it'll throw you. Use your judgment based on conditions, you've seen it before. (maybe, I don't know where you used to live)

Southern Michigan, I've seen it all. Just feel like my luck has been running out.

I always thought the DWS were pretty good.

They've been pretty good for the past 2 years. I would say close to 50% wear right now, don't feel all that great.

Has the "S" indicator faded yet?
How were they the first time in snow? My dad just put some on his accord 3 months ago, should be getting snow within a month here.

They're no snow tire, but they're capable in the snow. Haven't looked at the dws indicator, probably will later tonight. I got stuck once last year but I mean rwd open diff, soo.

I'm on my last set of Goodyear GTs and I'm going to miss them because they stopped making them.
Last summer I was driving home in a torrent of a rain storm. We had to go up a long long hill and I had so little tread that my car was slithering up the hill when everyone else was driving just fine. Snow would have been exciting!-but super bad.
