I got up to go work out before work. I get to the gym and turn off my truck, I sit there a few seconds just because I'm exhausted. As I got out of the truck I locked it (I have manual locks) and I push the door closed. Just as I do that I realize my keys are still in the ignition...I tried to catch the door before it slammed closed, but no, I wasn't quick enough. Shit. I don't think anything feels worse than locking yourself out of your vehicle, you just feel so stupid and don't want to ask anyone for help because it's such a dumb thing to do.
Well I figured I might as well work out, I'll call my wife to bring me my spare after since I don't need it until then anyways. After working out I call her using the gym's phone (mine is locked in the truck), she doesn't answer. Forunately I work only about a mile away from where I work out, so I decide to walk to work and call her again from my desk phone. She still hasn't answered, hopefully she wakes up soon so she can bring me my keys before she has to go to work.
Here's an oversized overland truck for your time.

been there bro, it's never fun.
If it makes you feel any better, maybe you didn't deal with snow like I did this morning. (just flurries so far, nothing real yet)

STORY TIME!
I did this at work once with the Cherokee (happened a lot because I'm stupid). My dad shows up and tells the admin he's got my keys. She calls up to my office and says "hey your brother is here with your keys". I don't have a brother, so I cautiously went downstairs and saw my dad. Key changed hands, we talked outside for a bit and he left. I walked back in and asked why she though he was my brother. "Oh, he just looks young enough I thought he was your older brother." I told her that was my dad, and then asked "wait, how old do you think I am?" She said I looked 30 years old. I was 24 and my dad was 52 . I then felt old all day.

That's a fair point. I'd rather walk through the incredibly light snow flurries than even light rain.
