I know some of you come here seeking lady advice, so here's what not to do as demonstrated by a friend of my cousin's.

In conclusion:

Take the damn hint. (Before anyone gets all "wahhhh y u no be direct I'm too inept for hints:" Hinting is the nice middle ground between getting accused of leading him on and getting accused of being a bitch, so it's the first clue).

If you don't, listen the first time she says, "I'm not interested."

On the plus side, he finally dropped it after I had to resort to mild bitchiness without calling me a bitch, which was a pleasant surprise.

Except worse because instead of a beach, Staten Island has a dump. It also has all of the taxes, utility, and insurance costs as the city because it technically is with absolutely none of the advantages. Seriously, parts of Jersey, Long Island, and upstate have better access to the transit system of the city than people who live on SI. It's the only part of New York where pretty much everyone has a car.
