Kinja'd!!!

I was perusing old Mustangs on Craigslist and came across !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with a hood from an '06 Dodge "Daytona truck" as well as the pony corral grille and headlights from an '05-'09 V6 Mustang (he says the grille is from the Mustang GT, but I'm pretty sure that only the '05-'09 V6 Mustang had that grille).

It's in good shape, and the grille and hood are okay; the headlight lenses look too damn big on the car (at least from this angle), and I don't like how the curved edges of the lenses meet the body.

I don't like it. Plus is not a GT grill but a v6 appearance package. The GT lights are bigger and doesn't have a "corral" around the running horse.

It's horrible. Also, what happened to the front end of the original that this seemed to be a better solution to fix? CP all day long and twice on Sunday.

Yeah, I've only ever seen V6 Mustangs with that grille.

Yeah, that's the V6 grill but it's actually close to the original design seen on the first-gen Mustangs (including GTs).

Kinja'd!!!

The S197 GT grill takes its design cues from the 1968 and later fog-light grills.

It almost doesn't look real.

The hood - meh.

The grille - I actually kinda like it.

The lights - GTFO. Ruined it.

He's doing it wrong. It's supposed to go the other way around. Old body on a newer car

This was the first (that I can recall) that did it right:

Wow, it's like if Ford had shipped the original tooling to Argentina along with the old Falcon and they just kept building it with periodic cheap and awkward facelifts.

I kinda like it. Part of me wants to buy it just to go trolling at classic car meets.

Also, a Dodge Ram Daytona truck:

Ah, so they had a trim package like that for the Ram as well? I didn't make the connection between his description and the Charger R/T Daytona - I'd assumed that he was referring to the Dakota.

Yeah, they made the Ram Daytona for a few years. It was just an appearance package IIRC.
