Yesterday, a buddy of mine and I asked ourselves the hard question.
Given x amount of dollars and the rule you could buy only one car with said money what would you buy? Using the rule of threes (I think) we gave ourselves budgets of $3000, $30,000, and $300,000.
mere are his choices:
$3000: Ford bronco
$30,000: Ford f-150 ecoboost
$300,000: Ford GT
...and mine...
$3000: E28 bmw 535i/is
$30,000: Dodge Ram ecodiesel- used or cpo
$300,000: Turbo singer 911.
Now its your turn. $3000, $30,000, and $300k. Go!

That's why I'd sneak in a Car Max Maxcare warranty. Go the DeMuro route.

$3000: The 240z I already have. (Paid $2800) Use the extra $200 to get it out here to me.
$30,000: The 1985 4Runner I also already have, plus $25k worth of parts and gas to drive around the world in said 4Runner.
$300,000: Another Datsun. Then build the living shit out of both of them and have money left to race for-fucking-ever.

At the 30k price point, a Unimog. Because not my money. And I always wanted one.

At 300k, an AMG SLS. I figure once optioned it'd be close to 300k.

I would have put it on my list but if driving a classic car has taught me one thing, it is that gawkers and and the like are really fucking annoying. A red ferrari is much too noticeable for my tastes

2001 Millenia S. I had a 1998 MY of the same car. It was the best car I've ever owned, and still has a special place in my heart. I only paid $1100 for mine, and it had over 200k miles when I bought it, but it was just the best car I've owned all-around. It had a 2.3L supercharged V6, and nowadays, it's not so fast, but it certainly could get out of its own way, and I just loved the car.
Sentimental value, more or less.

If you can't find a 308 or Testarossa for under $300K, than I suspect you have been doing lines in the Countach. 18 months ago you could get the 308 for $30K.

You can still get a 308 for 30-35. The point was that I'm not going to use all of that. I want something cheaper that's exotic.
