I'm assuming this is due to NJ drivers having long ago learned that if they see Donald Duck in a crosswalk, it's a hallucination from drugs in the air. After they've spent so much time learning this, it seems unfair to introduce a real Donald.

The true Jersey attitude:
1.) Act like an asshole.
2.) Get pissy when somebody calls you on it.

Not gonna lie, after living in some of the most shadiest areas of the country, if I saw a giant ass duck in the road I'd peel out. You don't know who that is or what they plan on doing. *seen guy get carjacked*

How so? The headline pretty much sums up what happened.

I hate these stupid "stings". No, not because I got ticketed or hate stopping for pedestrians who are desiring to cross, but because so many times it is utterly impossible to tell if someone desires to cross. I can't count the number of times I've stopped only to have the pedestrian wave me on. I would guess that the duck probably didn't just walk up to the curb, but rather was just standing there. How can you tell he wants to cross? I'd probably presume, unless he was progressing toward the crossing that he was probably just standing there as an advertisement for a business or something.

Umm... Where to begin? Not a giant duck, but a person dressed as Donald Duck was in a crosswalk, and it was Halloween night. The Police gave people tickets for not stopping for a pedestrian in a crosswalk, basically an everyday event. Not really news-worthy, but the title made it that.
