Have you ever played a game online and been beaten badly by what sounded like a pre-pubescent little brat? Now imagine that scenario, replacing the pre-teen with one hell of a focused baby , and instead of pressing buttons, he's driving a car at ludicrous speeds. I can't wait to see what this kid does with a go-kart.
This precocious kid rips the demo rally stage on Richard Burns Rally, with (what I hope is) his dad manning the pedals and gearstick. This is proof positive that Ken Block is, in fact, breeding kids for rallycross. It's at the very least an amazing display of telant for someone who can't even see over the steering wheel.

this is so awesome i wish i had a wheel/pedal kit now so I could teach my son
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:17 |

Psh, his lines are all wrong. 0/10, worst baby rally driver.

Too bad Google will be at the wheel most of its adult life.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:22 |

Kid's even looking through the apex as he goes around the longer bends - I still have trouble doing that every time. He's going to be good.

Our 2-year old has taken an immense interest in flying - so first priority is getting a proper flight stick setup.... but I really want a nice steering wheel/pedal! I sure hope Project CARS for the Wii U has a decent set to go with it.

Too much gasoline flavored Gerber :]
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:26 |

Hell, I can't even get my 2 year old to drive his PowerWheels on the sidewalk...
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:26 |
|
yea that'd be cool.
My son randomly started "fixing" his little almost a power wheels ATV/Car on sunday. He's a few months shy of 2. Just plopped down and started "working" on the front wheel

What's really impressive, Dad mans the brake, gas and shifter and son mans the wheel. Try that with a friend and see what happens. You likely be in a yelling match with your friend over who's screwing it up.

My girlfriend wanted to try my wheel/pedal setup on F1 2014...needless to say this could would kick her butt

I know that they say the GTR practically drives for you... but jeeze...

Stupid baby, he can't even shift.

What are you talking about
On like the 4th turn he missed the apex by about 5 feet ;-)
Seriously, I would be his copilot any day.
Who said kids were not interested in driving?
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:41 |

Are we sure this is not faked?
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:43 |

This is some quality father-son bonding. While I'm in no rush to have kids, I can't wait to be a dad.
On a side note, I believe that wheel set-up has G resistance in the turns, so this 2 year old with under-developed muscle mass could be putting his all into putting that much wheel in the turns. I'm super impressed.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:43 |

They are speaking Finnish is this video. That would explain the kids skills for rally. Its genetic here in Suomi!
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:44 |
|
Pretty sure. He loses it in one turn and corrects himself.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:45 |
|
That makes sense.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:45 |

Needs someone to shift for him - Worst baby driver ever ;-)
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:49 |

I now have to buy a wheel and pedals. I have been wanting a good set for a while, but this is brilliant.
Would it be wrong to make a kid do the GT license tests? I figure at that age bronze is acceptable.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 10:49 |

Keep in mind that Richard Burns Rally is a rally simulator . Nothing arcade on this game. So, yes, bloody hell, this is impressive!
I need to fire up that game again soon.

This makes me so excited to get my twins a go-kart. Clearly this kid proves that 3 isn't too young.

This looks, um, quite fake to me. A funny prank.

NEVER EVER DRIVE WITH YOUR BABY ON YOUR LAP!!! Jeez!!
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:03 |

Kid has better hand placement on the wheel then half the dopes I see out there posting their AutoX and track day footage.

A headline that has never been more right!
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:06 |

I think it may be the most difficult game in existence, so much frustration, but finishing a rally or even taking a corner well gives a ridiculous sense of self accomplishment.

Just yesterday was showint this to my father telling him "see! if a baby can drive it you can play some gran turismo"

Loooooooooooool
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:17 |

Yeah, but he's a crappy co-driver. His notes are all scribbles, he slobbers all over them, and every instruction is "DAAAH!"
Plus he needs to sit in a car seat in the back.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:24 |

I've been doing this too with my 3 year old son (although he has full pedal control and force feedback turned on). youtube.com/printerror if anyone wants to have a laugh. I need to get him playing Dirt 3.

Ha ha ha! Loled.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:33 |

when my kids drive with the wheel I'm usually of to the side with the keyboard making slight corrections as needed :P
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:37 |

It's not wrong at all. Let us know how he does!
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:38 |

That high five at the end makes me want to be a dad
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:41 |

It will probably be little while, but I will. Only 5 months old, so not quite ready.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:49 |
|
Well, that ranks about a 9.5 on my Awesome/Cute as a button scale.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 11:52 |
|
Remember this kids name, we could be seeing history in the making! How amazing would that be?!
![]() 11/12/2014 at 12:15 |
|
Not going to lie I figure my son will be doing that in a couple months. He's 2 right now. He gets upset every time we get out of the car and he doesn't get to play in the driver seat. I think this kid may be younger though and I have to say as a parent of a child that young that's unbelievably impressive.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 12:16 |

G27 is relatively cheap, but the wheel and pedals aren't the important piece. The seat to mount them to is. Those are expensive.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 12:35 |
|
Dumb kid can't even shift
![]() 11/12/2014 at 12:48 |

Wait til he gets a cell phone, then he'll be as bad as the rest of us.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 12:53 |
|
What exactly about it looks fake?
![]() 11/12/2014 at 12:57 |
|
Yeah, I have a buddy who has the whole setup.
I might just end up getting a racing seat and build my own. A welder and steel would cost less than the mount does and I get to keep the welder when I am done.

Hahaha
![]() 11/12/2014 at 13:57 |

He's Finnish, so not that impressive.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 13:57 |

agreed
0/10 would not sponsor
![]() 11/12/2014 at 14:29 |

Looks like your typical GTR driver on a track day.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 14:31 |
|
Difficult? Well, the difficulty lies in that you have to approach this game different than you're perhaps used to. "Go slow in order to go fast".
The driving isn't difficult. Restraining yourself and keeping absolute focus, that is the difficult part.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 14:38 |
|
What are you talking about?!?! He's a baby... of course he can OHhhhhh you said shift ....
![]() 11/12/2014 at 14:40 |
|
Even has proper driving technique.... shifting his hands around the wheel instead of overlapping them!
![]() 11/12/2014 at 15:02 |
|
That's the attitude America needs.
See Jim Jefferies.

Perkeleen suomalaiset.
(this is the only Finnish I know)
![]() 11/12/2014 at 15:29 |

And he is looking THRU the steering wheel at that!!!
![]() 11/12/2014 at 15:47 |

basically translates to god damn Finnish people haha. I'am actually an american living in Finland. I have taken a couple Finnish language courses and my wife is a Finnish woman so I am very familiar with the word perkele.

The Logitech GT steering wheel is an excellent one to consider. It isn't too terribly expensive (around $100) and handles well in games like Gran Turismo 5-6 and The Crew (I was part of the Beta test and got a whole weekend to use it...pairs perfectly with the game and feels great). The only downside would be that the actual wheel is small. To get the one with the full sized wheel, however, is a few hundred bucks more.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 16:59 |

The apex! HIT THE APEX!!! Gah, kid! Honey, we're getting a new baby. This one's defective.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 17:10 |

Lol that's bad ass. Not bad for a baby.
![]() 11/12/2014 at 17:19 |

That's a lot more difficult than it looks. Teaching a toddler to drive is tough.

I didn't see it on your blog. If I had, you would've received a hat tip. I actually saw it first on my news feed on Facebook
![]() 11/13/2014 at 09:43 |

Actually, I didn't realize that it was posted here. I thought that it was Jalop-written hence why I questioned them especially when it was on Oppo last week. Nothing against you, just them.

Haha, I am them .
