But to get the controller you have to schedule a meeting with them. Pic below of the bottom and its markings how cheaply can I get it running? My kid has a couple controllers that are marked 27 mMHz but it doesn't respond on any of the channels.

Kinja'd!!!

What am i missing?

I think a lot of these are fairly proprietary. Code for various actions for the microcontroller is very simple, but there are a thousand different ways to set it up. There's not a universal forward/backward/left/right set of codes except for proper hobbyist equipment designed to interface that way. Just as an example, we had two 49 Mhz cars one time - using the control for one while the other was active caused it to pulse in reverse and twitch the steering.

If you can find another "Silverlit" 27MHz car, the controller should work.

i'd look for a similar brand controller. Then.... soapy water on the floor, set potato to slow motion, and upload some TAXTHERICH styles vids on OPPO

Within the 27MHz bandwidth, they may have selected a specific channel to use. Have you flipped between ABC?

Another Silverlit controller might work, you could probably even google it and find one that would work.

Or, in typical Dell fashion, it uses some form of PWM communication with the car, and only works with their receiver. Much like their goddamn laptop power adapters.

Damn! 25 bucks... Not to bad but not sure if its worth it or it will end up another toy in the junk pile..

yeah, probably not worth it. If you have another rc car, you might be able to hack them together, the control circuit from the other one to go into this. Probably not though, it looks pretty cheap.

Schedule a meeting with Dell and then tell them to send you the controller and then cancel the meeting. They only said you had to schedule a meeting, not actually attend it.

You're probably missing the scheduled meeting to get the controller. Brilliant marketing.

Yes you have to set a meeting to discuss their IT solutions. Not a bad idea guess they've been doing it for years.

Haha or they know the enthusiasts and know how to exploit them.
