I guess I just have a thing for that potato-potato-potato idle sound. I've also owned a bit of variety. I've owned OHV, SOHC and DOHC engines and I'm the only person I know that's owned cars with 2, 3,4, and 5 speed transmissions. Guess I need a six-speed now. I've also only owned one manual trans car. I loved it to bits too! I kinda want to buy a Porsche 914 so I can knock mid engined, air cooled and German off my list. I want to drive 'em all!
My cars: (I currently own just the Burb and the Newport

I am a little light on 8's myself, but I just caught up to you with a 2 speed, and I own a 6 speed too. How was that swift anyways?

Nice lineup you've got, there. I do miss owning a V8, The 3.5 in my Rover SD1 may have been just a baby V8, but it could burble with the best of them at idle, and made the most amazingly spine-tingling roar when you wound it up to its 5500RPM redline. Switching to a four-cylinder after that felt like a bit of a downgrade, but at least I'm on the way back up now, with a turbocharged 5-pot.

Most of my cars have been OHV V8s or OHV I6s, with the exception of a DOHC V8 and DOHC V6.
3 spd autos and 4/5 spd manuals are the most common transmissions with the exception of 4 spd and a 5 spd auto.
