I was listening to this album tonight, which reminded me how great older electronic music can be. "Delirious", by Apache (1992), doesn't seem to be too well known, which is a shame. It's claimed to be one of the first Drum and Bass albums ever produced. I can't verify that, but I can verify that it is a pretty good album (and it's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ). It's a bit on the raw side, but I feel that just gives the album more character.
I then got to thinking; beyond this and some !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I don't have much in the way of old school drum and bass (or older electronic music, in general). I'd be curious to see what everyone's go to music is in this part of the genre.

Man we could start talking about bands that aren't dnb but are fitting with it back in the day. Could point out the sounds of sigue sigue sputnik or some tunes by yello or art of noise, or hit up big audio dynamite cause they were so early to use samples. Herbie Hancock? MARS?But what was really the first go to groups of DnB? I just remember crystal method getting big and trying to find music from that start point....then music like this. Nice pick.
