Just got to wondering who among us has old cars with old registration stickers on it. Above is my '61 Beetle with '69 Massachusetts inspection on the windshield. There's only two rules for this, one is that it has to be original, to the best of your knowledge, and it can't be on a spare windshield like 505Turbeaux !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

I think we've got a late 70s one around somewhere - that's the best I can do. One of the Land-Rovers because of course it is.

Ours says 10/16 because it's a 2012 car...

What's an "Inspection Sticker" and "Registration Sticker"?

Very cool Stuff sadly my state does neither inspections or window reg stickers.

Montego last passed inspection in it's home state of NJ in 97:
It was meant to be, giving I'm also originally from NJ

Hi, I hate you.
Inspection sucks.

Waiting for someone to chime in about the turn signals, too.

nah I know not to go there. Thing is pieced together. I might have said something if that was a semaphore car or something

My Impala had a registration sticker on the plate from 1988.

(sorry had to)

I thankfully don't have to do them out here in Michigan, I originally did where I grew up in NJ

One of them is right. The other one is in the car, just has to be swapped out.

I think the northeaster states all do it because our cars will rust to the point they break in half if they don't.

I would have absolutely never said anything, if you hadn't made a point about it

You're aware of the general location of Michigan right? lol

You know what I mean.

Bought for $3k. 1966 Impala with a 283 and the good ol' powerglide. Was last on the road in 1988 when I bought it from an estate sale.

haha.
I actually miss it for some things.
There would be soo many crappy cars removed from the road with an inspection.
At the same time I could remove my cats and not get busted lol

Damn that's nice. I've actually never paid that much for a car but that's about to change at the end of the month.

If you spend it on a bus...

I wish.
Hint: it's $24,974.04

Ah. You're buying something reliable. My guess is a newish Ford truck.

Wrong on the truck bit.

Nah. It's just another way for the state municipalities to generate revenue that will eventually be misappropriated. I understand WHY inspections are needed, but the stations should get some of the cash. The fee goes completely to the state here in NY. The stations actually take a loss on doing it when all is said and done.

You must be a hit at anti-Obama rallies.

Rock Star status! LOL!
Seriously though, I usually don't bitch too much about national stuff. NYS politics however....
