So, I really want a roof lip spoiler thingy for the Escort, and the best one is this by RMM, apparently. It's pretty much the only option, and it's great, so yeah.
No, I will never do any of these other things, although I'll admit I don't really hate those wheels. But yeah, it's just the spoiler I'm looking for, and they're insanely rare. If by some chance you find one in a junkyard or somewhere, it's not ruined, and it costs under $30 or so, I'll pay you for it and shipping and then I'll love you forever.
I know it's not likely that you'll find one, or that you'll remember to get it, or that you'll even notice it if you do find it, but I'm not going to find one on my own so it's worth a shot...

What market Escort are you looking at? If you're looking at US market, I might be able to help, you might have some other options that are cheap.
The 323 has an OEM spoiler that might work. I know the unibodies are very similar but I don't know what parts are exactly the same.
are you on FEOA.net? That's probably the best online community for Ford Escorts specifically. Alternatively, Club Protege is the be all end all for the BG chassis.

US, yeah. I lurk FEOA on occasion, but I've never really felt the need to join.
And yeah, that does look like it could potentially work... I do know that it's pretty easy to find a decent solar wing, so I might be able to come across a smaller one of those and just paint it. Not sure how that would look, though, since it would be so thin.

No, but it might slightly reduce the amount of dirt and water that ends up on the rear window, so it will actually serve a purpose! :D
