Tiff tests them both - and back in the early 90s, I drove both, then bought (as you all probably know) a '91 CRX Si. Also convenient is that the RCR posted today is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Don't know why Tiff didn't like the Celica's styling. I sure did.

Should have said - did not buy the MR2 because it was noisy even when cruising, did not buy the Celica because it was expensive, and I ultimately decided that the 2-seat (way) less expensive CRX would meet all my needs.

Mid 90's GT4 (ST205) seams like it would be fun. There are a couple hundred per year that were homologated for rally use. Not much help on the road but they have a deactivated anti-lag valve that would keep the turbo spooled between shifts. I think that it was more for making the rally class rules and would be petty difficult to use and if you got it to work it would probably destroy the turbo in short order. 1994 models are almost 25 years old ;)

25 years old ... don't remind me. Today is my birthday, and I just entered a new demographic.

25 isn't so bad. It's when you get closer to 30 than 25 that shit gets real. :(

You misunderstand - those cars are close to/more than 25 years old, and I drove them. When they were new.

30 was OK. 40 was great - surrounded by GF and ex-GFs and other women. 50? You get the AARP letter and realize that there's more behind than ahead. But it's all good.

I was last carded at age 34, and that means I'm fooling at least one person.

If I needed a car, and could find a clean Supra twin turbo, I might just do it. Should have done it in '97, when I had the scratch and needed a car. Shoulda woulda ....
