Anything at all. What's the most Utah way to get around?
Why do I ask, you say? Because I'm tired of hearing that the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is the Ford F-Series. I'm more interested in what the best vehicle for the state should be.
Also, if you think the most Utah vehicle happens to be the F-Series, then by all means put it down.
And as always...
Choose wisely!
This is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a year long 51 part series of Opposodes where I gather Oppositelock's view of America in the form of cars.

I would say either a Suburban or passenger van.

The Land Cruiser is the perfect vehicle for every state because the Land Cruiser is the perfect vehicle.

Its true. Though sadly the cruiser driver in Utah is 90% moms that shop at forever 21.

It really depends on where you live in Utah and what you do. I think the favorite is any full-size in pretty much every part of the state, but in SLC and the valley I'd say a Ford Fusion Titanium is pretty perfect. Down in the south, I'd say a'90s compact pickup is a treat. Maybe the north gets that too.

Based on what people in Utah actually drive, the answer would be Subaru.
They also really like Suburbans as family haulers.

Its reliable, luxurious (some years more than others), very capable, fast and comfortable. Damn you Brazilian legislation

all except fast is true. You actually don't see too many cruisers sadly, they pale in contrast with crossovers of all types. Right now the GM lambda is hot here.

The V8's are fast-ish. The 5.7 is a monster.

North is Tacoma/frontier land for sure. In the south its a mix of full size trucks and red Pontiac grand am's. Seriously, its like 1:1 small town youth to red Pontiac grand am ratio. Salt lake its pretty diverse; There is at least 1 F40 here as well as Lamborghini LM001, lots of 430's, 458 and CC's as well as the usual fair of Audi R8's and such. Mostly though its Subaru town.

Beat me to it.

I can see the south thing, but I don't know about the SLC Subarus. It's been awhile since I've actually been in SLC, but is WVC really that different?

the 5.7 IS a monster and the axle ratios are crazy (3.909:1) for that much torque. Its pretty quick, but fast is nothing a land cruiser is...at least stock.
![]() 11/10/2014 at 16:15 |

whoa, don't you go bringing WVC or south salt lake into this now....

We rented one of these to see 4/5 of Utah's famous national parks and I will forever associate the two...It was pretty nice actually, I will never forget driving in the fog just after a beautiful sunset over Capitol Reef (the only park we didn't stay in, making 5/5) and actually using the fog lights for once, eating chocolate and junk food with my Asian grandma...ah, the life!
