Found someone selling a totaled xB for $500(with delivery) on my local Craigslist. I've already got an email out to him as I'm pretty sure between small parts for my & my ex's xBs and scrap value I can at least come out even. If I start parting it out and selling bits I can probably come out ahead.

$500? that APPEARS to be a steal. As you said, you could easily recover that cost on parts sales and scrap.
