Actually it is a lot of fun. Glad I purchased. This was dumb: the first truck (top) I didn't know the ditch was there. I came from the clearing at the top of the screen, fell into the ditch, got stuck.

The second truck was just stupidity. I knew there was a narrow bridge, came up on it too fast, went OH SHIT OH SHIT and ended up sideways. Anyone know how I can save them? I see the WINCH thing there but I can't seem to figure out how to use one?

You can only use the winch when your engine is on, and for your engine to be on you have to be upright.

Okay, but I've tried using the winch in not as bad scenarios and couldn't. It's the F key, right? Do I need to have a certain truck to put a winch on?

Press "V" or click "Advanced" on the HUD. A few white dots will appear on your truck. Those are points you can winch from, every truck has two or three. Click a dot, and a bunch more will appear in the environment on trees and nearby trucks. You can only attach the winch to nearby objects. Once you click an anchor point you can start winching with "F', but make sure you hit "V" again to disable the parking brake, otherwise you're not going anywhere.

It's not really a steering wheel friendly game. I mean, it might, but an Xbox controller is perfect

Can I winch these out with another truck? Or can you only winch a truck to a tree or similar?

Yeah. You just click on the grey dot on the front or rear of the other vehicle.

you have no idea how many time I had to flip EssExTee while he was using the D-type trying to load logs. I would LITERALLY turn my back then BAM: his truck would be up on its side asking for a bell rub.
