Any car with a speedometer that only goes to 85 is probably not worth buying anyway.

For a second there I thought that it was almost at 400,000 miles and was like "Wow".

Also only 85 mph? You can't even attempt to make a time machine with that car. Good thing you didn't get it.

That was a 1980 mandate. Even if the car could go faster, the speedo could only go up to 85 legally. Even the Mustang SVO said 85

So, no U.S. market '80-'81 cars, then.

Did US market have any cars worth buying in 80-81?

Really? I had no idea. I'm from Canada, so I don't exactly have much experience with older U.S. speedometers. I was just going by what I found online, which says that they began phasing them out in '81.
