I bought an HTC One (M8) for Windows today

I like it a lot. The screen is beautiful, its 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 2GB RAM makes the thing absolutely sing, the speakers are awesome and the build is just beautiful.

The camera is still a potato though and I'm worried about not getting superfluous perks like "Hey Cortana" but it is still a marked improvement over my aged 920. It doesn't get too hot when running Unity based games like the 920 did either.

I'm pleased.

I have an M7 on Android. It's an awesome phone, but my camera has the stupid purple haze defect.

^^^same^^^^ Mine has the purple haze at night/in low light, and under normal light it just won't focus.

Careful... the phone is fragile... even moreso than the iPhone 6+ so be wary

If you go to 1:38 you ca nsee what I mean but watch the whole thing. It's from Consumer Reports so it's quite trustworthy

I love the build quality of this phone (android version though) and the specs (AND am in the market for a new phone right now)...but the shitty camera just kills it for me. Do you have any photos you've taken you could share? Just how bad is it? The HTC Desire Eye that's coming out fixes that quibble (13MP front and back, yo!), but loses the beautiful build....so almost tempting.

I also really like the idea of removable battery and definitely like having a microSD card slot - so the LG G3 is looking like my best option right now. I wish something else amazing gets released over the holidays - the Nexus 6 turned out to be way too big and has the same problem as the MotoX (which I LOVE) - no removable battery and no microSD - maybe I just need to just accept that fate.

If it bends I will take my happy ass back to AT&T and get it replaced. Even if I have to do that until they get sick of me and give me a new Lumia flagship that should be out by then :)

Really cheesed that there isn't a replacement flagship offering from MiKiUmia yet.

I love this phone but for the camera alone I wouldn't get it. I loved my 920's camera. My vibrator motor stopped working so AT&T was going to send me a 1520. I was excited because I wanted a snapdragon 800 and a 1080p screen, but they suddenly ran out and sent me a 1020. Not a bad thing as the camera is amazing. But now I just can't get a bad camera.

Now I'm waiting for MS to finally come out with a successor. So I'll be stuck with the 1020 for awhile. That's a great phone though, I really like how it felt when holding it.
