Getting right to it-
(Yep, it had a gated manual...)
Saw this under the Manhattan Bridge, JDM perfection.
I've seen quite a few of these in Williamsburg. Damn hipsters and their cool cars...
That hotel actually uses these as shuttles
Rad.
I can't even remember the last time I saw a widebody Starion
I was riding my bike one day and caught this in the corner of my eye. Lemons maybe?
Hnnnnnnnggggg
HHHHHNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG
I always thought these Volvos looked great
Big ol' Merc
Lots of cool here
Mathias sighting!
Unless this has a Hayabusa Engine, I'm not impressed.
And a few from Manhattan-
Something's not right here. (Or not left, I suppose)

nice finds! I drove a 328 GTS a bunch a few summers ago, looked great sounded ok, and was slow as shit, but people loved it.
Also, that red Supra, if it was RHD I have also photographed this car.

I don't know much about those. It's an S12 Silvia, isn't it?

Yep. Basically the most badass 80s car ever made. One of the few japanese cars where the US-spec model was better than the Japanese one.
They weighed 2500-2800lbs and some had the N/A 300ZX engine. (VG30E).
So while the more popular (and it's direct competition) AE86 (Corolla GT-S) had 112 HP @ 2200lbs, the S12 had 160 HP @2500lbs . Plus, it had independent rear suspension that the AE86 did not.
But the REAL reason they are awesome is because they can be turbocharged using the 300ZX Z31 turbo. Non-intercooled, that engine made 200 HP. Throw an intercooler on it and a bit more boost, and you can make 250HP. Or, you can use the camshaft from a European spec car to reach the same power without an intercooler. Or BOTH to reach around 300HP. That's 300HP in a roughly 2600lb package.
This means that the S12 is one of the few cars you can buy and build for under $10,000 ($3000 for the car, $7000 for engine and turbo work plus a beefier transmission and differential) and get > 0.115 HP/lb reliably. By comparison, a brand new Mustang GT is .117 HP/lb. With tight gearing it can be an awesome sleeper car that just looks like a shitty 80s hatchback.
Meanwhile, you can't buy an AE86 that runs for under $10000, most of which have the 85HP engine, not the 112HP 4AGE.

RHD ITR. Its either a real jdm import, or the guy did a fantastic job on a complete rhd conversion, as well as a complete front clip swap (no dorky bugeyes), and the rest of the details. Gorgeous car. Sadly i bet that guy can never let that thing out of his sight in that city. Oh, and it looks like he doesnt have a hood lol.
