The anxiety of waiting for a response from prospective employers is annoying me (Post interview), either I get no response, or no response.

I'm not getting anything done here... while I burn my days playing racing games and stuff while I wait.. my mother and father do not want to help me get my own car, unless it was owned by family friend. Fffff.

if all fails, gotta work at some restaurant or something, I need income, I trained for my work field.

Mclaren F1 for your troubles.

I've been out of work for 2 months. I have an interview at Chipotle and hoping I can get the job. I've had at least 40 applications either rejected or ignored. Many phone calls not returned. Hoping you find a job quickly to start earning some cash.

This. 14 active applications right now, another 3 I should send in, another round of searches, a second interview coming up with a job talk I need to prep, 2 personal contacts offering up job openings soon. It's amazing how slowly it moves. I'm getting a lot of repairs and projects done, at least? Keep at it, and be persistent. It might help to check out the stats for your field on average length of job search. When I graduated, it was nearly 18 months in my field (much, much shorter now). You may be in a similar, slow situation. Good luck!

I just went through it myself in September. At the beginning, I had the same fears and reservations. What I discovered, though, is that employers generally start getting back to applicants about a month after they apply. So over the course of 5 weeks, I applied for about 40 jobs without hearing anything. In the sixth week, boom, I got 6 call-backs, did 4 interviews, and got 3 job offers.

My advice is to be patient, keep applying, and you'll be employed again before you know it.

A few minutes ago, I just got a call from a dealership I sent a resume to a month ago. Some employers were less than 12 hours. hopefully I get back in business soon.
