Slowly getting to the end of drywall repair. Taking a break this morning to catch up on some other work.
House has 9/16 inch drywall. Not 1/2 or 5/8. Used both 1/2 and 5/8 for repair. Either fill or shave. Tried both. Both are more work.
Oh, and my friend Francisco is putting up new stucco on the outside at the same time. Can you say massive $$$$ going out this week?

My washing machine plumbing is in an exterior wall. I need to move it. the drain pipe froze last winter when it was below zero outside and overflowed to the basement. Damange was minimal but its still on the to-do list.

Use this joint tape unless you've got a lot of experience mudding sheetrock. I love this stuff. How I hate tape peeling from the wall a year or two after mudding them.

Sometimes I wonder how builders get their work approved. When the plumber had the work inspected, I found out the two of them were fishing buddies. Doubt any of his work gets questioned.

I bought some of that. Seems to work quite well, I must say. Thanks.

PEX vs Cu, would you still go PEX?

Si. Pex is easy to work with and an ape could install it. It's perfect for homeowners who like doing their own work and it's easy to modify to fit your needs.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I like working with Cu, but it's always good to know what all the options are. I could definitely see some cases where PEX versatility would be a huge advantage.
