Ohio at least has mountains at two ends. Indiana is flat, at least that's what my old roommate had to say about it.

I've only been to Detroit when we stopped for gas on the way home from Windsor Canada, I have never been more afraid in my life. Including the 6 years I spent in the Army and my twice yearly trips to Tijuana in the late 90's.

North Florida isn't THAT bad, it just isn't good. If beaches are your thing, I guess it's alright, but other than that it has nothing to offer.

I'm not big on beaches. I like lakes and rivers. So if they have those then maybe it's good. I also quite like forests.

Southerners can be really subtle with their meanness.

For instance, the classic "bless your soul" line. From my experience, this is actually said quite a bit in North Carolina.
