Allow me to complain about my van for a minute. Again. Sorry.
I was taking cassette tapes out to the van today, and figured what the hell, and cleaned up the interior a little bit and organized it. As I was doing it I noticed, other than a slightly sagging headliner over the front seats and the crack in the dash, it really clean for a 21 year old car that's carted around more kids then I can count.
Now, when you compare the interior to the exterior, there isn't much to be said other then the exterior looks like shit, and that bugs me. The hail dents on the roof, the rust spots, the missing paint, dent in the rear bumper from our camper jackknifing, it's horrible. Not just compared to a new car, but even compared to a lot cars of equal vintage. We neglected it those six years it wasn't being driven and just sat in the street and let the body deteriorate.
I really hate myself for letting it happen. But I didn't think I'd be driving it. The original plan was for it to be gone by the time I was 16, but life got in the way. I wanna fix it, but have no clue how, and the rust above the windshield is beyond surface now. I guess I'll just have to deal with it for another two years and look at a car with less than 150,000 miles that looks like it has over 300,000.
I did learn today that even in the condition it's in it's worth about $1,800-2,000 according to KBB.

For some reason I've decided you should paint it like a mail van.

There'd be no place for the eagle thing.

Just in place of the eagle, there needs to be a dragon.

I think every single Safari of that gen that's still on the road has peeling paint on the hood. Could always try that $50 Rustoleum roller paintjob.

I'd have to use the money I get from selling it to buy a car. And it would take time to find one. And I need a car in between to get to school.

I wish my parents would've waited a year. We would've gotten the updated body style and the better paint. I hardly every see the 2nd gens with peeling paint.

Trucks are supposed to look like sh!t. And if it makes you feel any better - I waxed my 1990 Nissan hardbody pickup a bunch and the paint peeled the same way...

I know now. I always assumed it was an artsy envelope or something. I never really looked at it closely.

See, there's my problem. I never really looked at it.
As for a place for it, get one of those one-way picture tints. Y'know, like most vans. Or buses.

I had one of my friends chase me down and try to jump on my trunk leaving practice one time, so I slammed the bakes and threw it in reverse. That stopped him briefly, but when I started to drive off again, he jumped on. I simply drove out of the parking lot and pulled onto the street, at which point he started banging frantically on the back window, thinking I did't see him.
I never had that problem again. Probably a good thing. If you've ever crushed an aluminum soda can, you'll get why.

I've had friends jump on my front bumper in parking lots. Thank god it's steel or I'd have to kill some very good friends.

You don't understand man. When I enjoy a break from it to drive a blob Taurus, there's a problem.
1. Eh, V6.
2. HOLY ORANGE PEEL BATMAN.
3. ...The back window is shot and it's been in the 30s this week. No Bueno.
4. YES HELLO GIVE SONOMA NOA.
5. I don't think they sold those with a stick. Sounds scammy.
6. Holy shit that's clean. And the interior is BLUE.
7. If it was a more modern Triburon, I'd like it.
8. Got that Carolina Squat going on.
9. Dude this is the best so far.
10. TWO WHEEL DRIVE JEEP. WHAT?
11. I can tell that's been in an accident. Plus the clear coat is peeling which means the paint will come soon after.
12. It isn't drive able until I could fix the clutch slave cylinder. Which is a problem.
13. I can't do Monte Carlos unless it's an SS.
14. Other then the horrible tail lights and wheels, I like.
Seriously though, that 318i is amazingly clean for a $2,000 car! I think that one's my favorite.

Sand the hood, spray it with primer, then shoot it with three coats of semi-gloss white. Clear with two coats of semi-gloss clear. Peeling problem fixed. Do this wherever you have a problem. Yes the problem still exists but it will look better from a distance. Think about respraying the black grill with new black paint, it will take years off it. I repainted all black trim on my beater 2000 blazer and it was amazing the change.
Here's what I did on my truck: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/oppo-confessio It wasn't a great repair but just some new paint made it look better (disregard the new metal sketchily welded in with an arc welder).

You are so lucky to be able to drive such a big car, I'm jealous. Please build a 70's-80's custom van like these:
