that just looks like the way its moulded....maybe nned to pull the button back to a mounting point or something?

I hope so. I screen grab from a Carmax pic. Car located 200+ miles away so I don't want to drive there and find out it wasn't in as good condition as I thought.

ALSO: another reason why it would look like that:
the push button could be an option. with a lower model having keys. that indentation is there to allow clearance for a persons hand to turn the key.
