This is The Opposite Locker where we try and sort out the cool from the square. This is a discussion system detailing how cool a car is, not how fast, fun, or frivolous it may be, but how well it looks in the cat's pajamas. But, you may be asking, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ?

Please utilize the Anna Kendrick Test when discussing why a particular car is cool or uncool, and ask yourself, "would Steve McQueen be caught dead driving this car down route 66?" (Basically, it should be bad on track and great on a road).

Ford Mustang
The granddaddy of them all: the Ford Mustang. The 2015 refresh has got everyone talking, but is it enough to negate the basic plastic-inspired previous design?
Also, what are we to make of the new engine options? Is the turbo I4 Ecoboost worth the trouble when the V8, the one we all would truly rather have, is around $10k more?

Dodge Challenger
The Dodge Challenger was designed with very few body lines, perhaps the reason it still looks modern with a few trinket updates and NACA ducts.
What I love about the Dodge Challenger is that it proves a company doesn't have to be, doesn't have to give in and become, "European" to sell a sports car. This is classic American muscle, and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevrolet Camaro is in desperate need of a refresh. And while the bow-tie boffins can no doubt make it fast on track, they've done little to keep it relevant on the road.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Oh no, how'd this get in here? Okay, it was me...
But then, the Hyundai Genesis actually permeates the muscle car market quite well. Big engine, quality interior, slight muscle car handling characteristics whilst still retaining a connection to the road.
No, it's not American, but this nation was built on imigrants, so why not let a quaint Korean in?
For 2015, Hyundai have killed off the turbo I4, so forget about that; 3.8 liter V6 only.

Each of the big three's muscle cars have improved so much over recent years, it's hard to believe. Mustangs are still my favourites though

Ford needs to give the Mustang the F-150 treatment and aluminize all the things.
and make a stripped out lightweight GT trim package with a "delete everything not strictly necessary to be road legal" option.
that ought to take nearly 1000 lbs out of the porker.
