What does your engine say about you?

3-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You're just driving around in your little, fuel-efficient city car, not being a bother to anyone on the road.

-

4-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You're either a non-car person minding your own business, or a douchey Civic driver everyone hates because you always talk about your engine, no matter how uninteresting it is.

-

5-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You know how to service your car and are generally less of a douche. Also, you drive an Audi.

-

6-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You don't have a 4-cylinder engine, so you're keen to show off how powerful your big and mighty Accord V6 is.
VROOOOoOOOoOoOooOoOOOOMM!!!

-

8-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You drive a muscle car. You're either a decent human being who loves muscle cars of all types and conversing with others, or you're that douche in the V8 Mustang who tried to race me at the light.
Or you're a Florida retiree.

-

10-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You actually appreciate your car and the engine it has. Although you probably don't know how to service your car, you have a good sense of engineering, good enough to take an interest in what engine your car has.

-

12-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You snagged a deal on that Jaguar XJS on craigslist and now you can't stop boasting about how big the engine in your car is.

-

16-Cylinder

Kinja'd!!!

You don't even know what an "engine" is.

What about different types of these engines? Like a flat 4/6 or a I-4/6? Or are these just basically the same?

Kinja'd!!! TheHondaBro > norskracer98-ExploringTheOutback

Kinja'd!!!1

Well that's why I titled them with "x-Cylinder", so I could generalize them.

Although...

In all honesty some very, very interesting engines have been 4 cyl. Highest HP/ L (NA), also... I resemble this remark...

And aren't most 5 cyl (On a per sold basis) actually BMWs?

Kinja'd!!! TheHondaBro > AthomSfere
11/01/2014 at 12:58

Kinja'd!!!0

Well I was going off the Audi thing because we used to have a VW Eurovan with a 5-cyl Audi engine, and around those times, Audi basically supplied engines for a whole bunch of cars that weren't Audis..
BMW might be selling more, though.

3 Cylinder - What is that, like, a dirt bike?

4 Cylinder - You got something lame, cheap and socialist. Or a new Impala because those come with fours now.

5 Cylinder:

6 Cylinder - Basic transportation. Y'know, Trailhawk Cherokee, Traverse, Explorer, something small and basic. Single 20-something commuter.

8 Cylinder - You bought something to be proud of. Maybe a new Tahoe or Camaro, or maybe even an Escalade or Corvette

10 Cylinder -
