I DVR'ed both F1 practice sessions today and F1 extra. I was just watching F1 extra and Steve Matchett is interviewing their Team Principal Guenther Steiner. He basically asked Guenther about pay drivers his response was,
"We are looking for talent and experience. You know some drivers now in these days come with sponsorship, if they bring it fine, but, it's not, we don't have to have that. If a driver is good that is worth much more than an untalented driver with a lot of money to us. We are planning on drivers coming along and they aren't co-pay drivers.
This fills my heart with joy. I hope he means it and Gene Haas can back it up with his checkbook.

Haas definitely knows what he's doing, and I can't see him turning down talent, just for some cash. Teams that go that route just don't get better, and there's zero chance Haas Racing plan to stay backmarkers for long.
