The chasm between the 991 C2 and C2S is so much bigger than the 997.2 C2 and C2S

Makes sense...the 991 C2 didn't gain any power (probably lost torque with the deficit in displacement) and put on weight.

I think the 991 C2 may have actually lost a tiny bit of weight despite the size increase.

But not enough to make up for the smaller engine. The 3.4L has similar total power figures to the 3.6L in the 997.2. But the peak power hits at much higher RPMs. So the net effect is that the engine *feels* like it has way less torque.

My Dad's gf has a 991 Carrera Cabrio. I hate it. The mix of the cabrio being heavier than my coupe with the downsized motor combines for a bad mix. It feels like a big step backwards from my car.

But the 991 C2s is a whole different story. I drove one at a Porsche AutoX. That car *feels* very fast.

I'm sure it is, but omg, the 991 C2S is so expensive now.

I still just want a Targa. That glorious Targa. Even if it has the wimpy engine.

All 991s are too damn expensive!!!! You can't win. Even a used C2S is too expensive. And the C2 is cheaper but not worth the money cause you can get a nice 997.2 C2S for less and it's the better car.

Nooo if you get the Targa then save up and get one with dat 3.8! Then you can keep it for life and be happy.

Especially if you ordered it brand new in the exact color combo you wanted.

You could ask your family to bury you in it when you die.
