In Lakewood, CO two police officers patrolled crosswalks frequented by students and Trick-or-Treaters dressed in full garb (as a gorilla and a banana) to raise awareness of crosswalk safety procedures. In addition to getting into the holiday spirit, the costumes help with high visibility to reinforce the idea to drivers that these crosswalks exist. Despite such, at least one driver ended up getting busted.
