Cadillac + Diesel = Buy it!

Also sounds like this diesel was better than the 5.7 GM had as well. Although this 4.3 was also a gasoline block, lol. Through a quick google search I read that you should let these warm as they were prone to failing when run cold.

Don't touch that Rabbit. I can tell you from experience it's a mess - and not even a hot one. That much rust means there's gonna be rust under the windshield (which causes drip-down onto the fuse box, which then rusts itself). Plus, you'll be lucky if the fuel system isn't made completely of rust at this point. Cool car, but I've never seen someone buy one in that shape without getting burnt by one of those two problems.

The two best options from the first couple pages:
https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/4735718744…
TONS of upgrade options for any subaru.

https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/4731666059…
That would make a decent starting point for a LeMons car, if you're enough of a masochist to want to do the clutch on it...

The Saabs are tempting, but I just had a buddy give up dealing with his Saab because of how hard it's gotten to find parts. It's easier to find parts for an old International Pickup than a Saab, these days...

I have access to a forester with half the miles for that money.

I wonder what that guy is looking for for that porsche though, I guess I already have a 26 tiburon V6 6 speed for racing though

I have worked on saabs for a good long time, but yeah parts are getting stupid these days to find. classic 900 or 1st gen 9000 is my speed.

Kinja'd!!! JGrabowMSt > 505Turbeaux

Kinja'd!!!1

I'm just going to replace it. I mean, in theory, for a 392 or 426 swap, it would just need a re-tune, because the motors are mostly similar, just different bore/stroke/compression. A good tune for the new readings would keep it working. My plan was to actually use a new ECU. If I get a wrecked Challenger SRT with 392 or the bigger 426 and a 6 speed, I can use the ECU, key and motor for a direct swap. Then I just need a custom driveshaft made up, and trans mount.

I plan to have a wavetrac installed in the rear anyway, so I can feed it stupid amounts of power, but realistically, if I dyno 500 RWHP, I'll be happy. I'm not doing it for the power, though it will certainly be a good enough reason.

I just want a 6spd row my own Magnum.

Well the engine in the Forester is pretty young. Though, if I'm reading it right it's almost 100k old - if he hasn't had the head gaskets done REALLY recently, they're going to need to be done. The EJ251 in those tends to need new ones every 100k miles or so. The body is really clean, but the carpet needs replacing...

The old Saabs are the best. So analog. So Swedish. What I wouldn't give for a nice 99 Turbo...

Mine was...problematic. A batch of the 2000 Beetle Turbos had faulty hydraulics. The clutches would grenade silly early. A buddy of mine worked at the buyback repair bay under VW's HQ here, and was telling me about one where the lady drove it out of the parking lot, about 300 yards down the road, and the clutch exploded again. I went through one every 20k miles. By the time I could afford to trade it, I'd bought 1 Beetle for the price of 2. Over $19k in repairs, and none of them happened in the right time frame or way to lemon law it.

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team… I hired this driver on my other account for a while. Now he can be yours! However, I let him go because of 12 talent. He was impressive, but now my other account is in the Elite tier of its league and I'm training its talent 20 and 17 talent drivers so they can be competitive in the next season. This is the only driver on the market that I can see with 19 ref and stam.

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team… Talent 20, Ref 16, Stam 17, Health 4%. Would need lots of training in the physical department to get health to a competitive percentage (around 50% I feel).

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=team… Talent 14, Ref 14, Stam 14, Health 69%. Only needs physical training for 10 races. And the name was custom changed to Alain Prost!

That's all the best possible ones I see for now.

The pro tier is really difficult for my other account right now — level 6, almost level 7, and everybody else is at least level 11 or higher. It's a two car league with a full house (16 managers) and 10 of us were live managing last night. 2 races in and my drivers are middle pack performers at the moment. I am just trying to stay out of the relegation zone this season and hopefully see success two seasons from now in that league.
