The seats are an easy fix, look like they came out of a Honda or something. The bumpers, would be expensive but aren't that horrible.

not a bad price. Kind of the least desireable of all '02's but still a good car! Those seats, rims, and those dumb additional front turn signals can get lost.

Check those rear shock towers well!

cleanest sub-$5k 2002 I have seen. (in terms of rust and body damage at least)

1975 was the first year of the 5mph bumper standard. It was a dark time for cars. Between power choking emissions and heavy bumpers, most cars in 1975 were really average at best.

But that is a nice '02, I live in the area...I would throw $3k at him if I were into such things.

How'd I miss that one? I've been perusing the DC CL for cheap old stuff.

It does look like a pretty good price.

Anyone recognize those seats? Bleh. I'm OK with the wheels though.

I know, but you're allowed to take it off these days I suppose/would hope?

That is a good question. I would think it would depend on how you register the car. I am going by memory but in my state (MD) if you get a regular registration for a car that is old, you will have to pass a full regular inspection and that would mean you would have to have a bumper. Now if you get antique plates you have more flexibility but you are not supposed to be driving the car every day.

Oh don't get me wrong: I would want the car to have bumpers, I just wanted the bumpers to have the European look. Like mine ;-)

Look like old Honda seats to me, but otherwise it looks good.
