I kinda want this but I don't know if I really want it. Like it looks nice, it's fast-ish, and it's supposed to be good. I have no idea.... Hjelp!

Test. Drive. (by the way, the answer is yes, you do want it.)

Asking Oppo if the FiST is good is like asking a bunch of fatties if fresh warm krispy kreme doughnuts are good.

If you're so-so on the FiST, go test drive one. Then you will make up your mind.

I've been more intrigued by the FoST. The extra hp would be nice considering most of my local driving is straight lines or highway which wouldn't allow as much fun from the nimble FiST.

Exactly! I've got Woodward Ave.
aka. A straight line from Pontiac to Detroit. FoST is the clear fun bringer here and it's got brute POWERRRR!!!

As a fatty, Krispy Kreme is shit compared to some local doughnut shops.

You can buy a C5 Z06 for the same money...
The FiST is a hoot to drive, but I'm too big for the Recaros, the interior styling is meh, and the exterior just looks like a catfish

You can get so much more power for the money though. If speed is what you want buy a muscle car.
Focus ST prices get awful close to C6 Z06 prices...that's 500 horsepower

I'd go for the Sonic before the Fiesta/Focus anyway. Too much Chevy in me to get a Ford hatch.

Good boy.
The Sonic is an absolutely hysterical ball of fun with a tune too. I'm sure the Fiesta is as well, but I like the way the Sonic looks better.
If I had to do it all again I think I'd skip the RS, get the cheapest Sonic Hatch with turbo and manual, then get a tune, intake, turbo back exhaust, rs shocks, springs, tires, and swaybar and have a seriously good hot hatch for cheap.
I'm planning on swaybar soon. Still thinking of doing springs at the same time but I'll probably save some money and do them later

I liked the BRZ I drove much more than I liked the FiST.
I have a 2002 SVT Focus currently and the BRZ was much more like the driving experience I have and enjoy now. The FiST felt off. Nothing was where I expected it to be, I hated the Recaros, and I'm not a fan of that turbo delivery.
Yeah its got grip for days, and it's silly fun, but I never felt like I was the one driving.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Sonic RS numbers
vs ford numbers
Ford claims the ST's 1.6L turbocharged four cylinder makes 197 horsepower and 214lbs. of torque, but plenty of dyno tests have shown that the car is actually putting those numbers to the ground - stock. That means the engine's actually making somewhere in the neighborhood of 230 horsepower and 250lbs. of torque
